New Year, New Opportunity Incoming!

We’ve some exciting news to kick things off in 2026.

Screen Devon is proud to be teaming up with award-winning Filmmaker Pip Piper, to offer 16-19 year-olds in Exmouth the chance to discover the creative world of Documentary Filmmaking.

Participants who join the new 4-week Documentary Filmmaking course will embark on a whistle-stop tour of the foundations of Documentary Production: from Prep to Projection. They will learn how to find and develop a story and how to capture it. And they will also discover how to shape the edit and how to bring it to an audience. Everyone has a chance to develop their own role and filmmaking style.

After 3 action-packed weeks, the group will come together for one last session. Here, they will have the opportunity to share their work and discover what steps can be taken next. And everyone will receive copies of their films and/or footage to keep forever – a timeless record of their first exciting steps into the world of doc cinema.

All details on the course follow below. So, if you’re interested we encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible. Plus, if you know anyone else who might be too, then please do spread the word!
